Mission Statement

Choosing Grove Park Hospice means choosing to live life to its fullest. Our mission is to focus on enhancing quality of life by offering an array of services to our patients and their families.

What Makes Us Best of the Best?

Grove Park Hospice is a family owned and operated Hospice agency in the area. Caring for you and your family is our only priority!

Grove Park Hospice is under the same ownership and management as Grove Park Pharmacy and Home Medical Equipment. Our pharmacy has provided excellent service to this community for 30 years! The citizens of Orangeburg and surrounding towns have voted us “Best of the Best” for the past 22 years.

Grove Park Hospice’s partnership with pharmacy and home medical equipment eliminates concerns regarding quality of service and provides Hospice staff immediate 24 hour access to medications and medical equipment needed to care for Hospice patients. This means giving you the care you need faster than any other hospice organization.

Our clients lift us up when they talk about the services we provide. Get to know our team and read our testimonials today!

Experienced and Caring Staff

Our Grove Park family is faithfully dedicated to restoring dignity, offering hope and providing comfort.

  • Our Executive Director has over 30 years of experience providing leadership and management for hospices.
  • Our Director of Patient Care has over 25 years of experience in nursing and management experience.
  • Our Registered Nurses have specialized training in pain and symptom management as well as the ability to communicate compassionately with family members in a time of crisis.
  • Our Licensed Social Workers and Chaplain have the privilege of supporting individuals and families during some of the most universal ‐ and vulnerable ‐ life experiences: coping with serious illness, facing one’s mortality, the dying process, and bereavement are just some of their specialties.
  • Our Certified Nursing Assistants are our quiet heroes, providing the most intimate and personal tasks of assisting patients with bathing, feeding, turning the bedbound, changing linens, ensuring a clean and comfortable living space, all while giving reassurance and emotional support to the patient and their family.
  • Our Physician (Medical Director Dr. Lamar Dawkins) provides medical oversight for the team.
  • Our Pharmacist (PharmD) helps ensure optimal medication management for our patients.
  • Our Respiratory Therapists are on staff at Grove Park and available for consultations as needed.
  • Our Licensed Nurse Practitioner does home visits.

In House Pharmacy & Durable Medical Equipment

Grove Park Hospice’s connection with our pharmacy and home medical equipment eliminates concerns regarding quality of service provided by contracted agencies. This means giving you the care you need faster than any other hospice organization.

  • Grove Park Hospice is able to provide immediate 24 hour access to medication and medical equipment needed to care for Hospice patients in their homes.  This means you get your medications sooner rather than later, even if the pharmacy is closed.
  • Grove Park Hospice provides FULLY ELECTRIC HOSPITAL BEDS to Hospice patients.  The fully electric feature eliminates the need to manually crank to change the height of the bed as necessary with standard issue semi-electric beds.  This power feature decreases the physical strain on caregivers who are frequently older parents or spouses and promotes patient independence with bed operation.
  • Grove Park Hospice is able to provide “convenience/luxury” items owned by Grove Park Home Medical Equipment if needed to enhance quality of life.  These include but are not limited to: portable concentrators and power mobility devices.
