Phyllis Parker and Debbie Hare of Grove Park Hospice assisted Longwood Plantation in supporting a free workshop for people in our community who are caring for a loved one with Dementia. Rep. Gilda Cobb Hunter and Mayor Michael Butler both spoke to the group as well as the primary speaker, Dr. Macie Smith. Participants learned about the disease process and how to best care for a loved one living with dementia.
